Green Power - Renewable Energy

Milton-Freewater City Light & Power now offers two ways for customers to purchase safe, clean renewable energy and to promote the growth of future renewable energy development.

Genealogy

Our genealogy/Local History Room contains a large collection of historical documents, photos, and newspapers dating back to the 1800's.  Due to the rare nature of some documents and the fragile nature of many of the items, this room is available by supervised appointment.

For Kids

 

The library has many resources and programs for children of all ages! We have a children's play area, and thousands of books for children to check out. 

Regularly Scheduled events:

  • Storytime for children under 6: Every Thursday at 10:30
  • Bi-Monthly Holiday Parties including Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Halloween
  • Monthly evening Storytime for children of all ages

Skatepark

The Milton-Freewater Skatepark is located in Freewater Park located at the intersection of North Main St & NE 8th Ave. The skate park can be accessed from Robbins Street off of NE 8th Ave. Dreamland Skate Parks, the premier builder of skate parks, did an  awesome job on our skatepark. Come see for yourself and skate "The Pond"!

 

Mel Bennett Memorial Tennis Courts

The Mel Bennet Memorial tennis courts provides 4 full size tennis courts that are open to the public.  The courts have lights that are active during portions of the year.
