Planning Commission

The planning commission consists of seven (7) members appointed by the city council. Six (6) members must reside within the city limits, however one member may be a resident outside the city limits but within the city's urban growth boundary.  The committee meets once a month, on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. with a study session at 6:30 p.m. in the Albee Room of the public library.

The Planning Commission's responsibilities include making recommendations to the City Council regarding zoning and any long range planning activities that require Council approval. The Commission is also the decision making authority on land use proposals, including Variance and Conditional Use requests.

The mayor, with the approval of the city council, appoint members of the planning commission to serve a term of four (4) years.
