Notice of Budget Committee Meeting

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Milton-Freewater, Umatilla County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 will be held in the Albee Room at the Public Library.  The meeting will take place on April 26, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive public comment on the budget.  A public hearing concerning the proposed uses of State Revenue Sharing Funds will also take place.  The City is proposing the funds be used for public safety purposes.

Library Closed

The library will close at 5 p.m. for staff training.

UTILITY WORKER

Position:          UTILITY WORKER – Full Time

 

Salary:              Salary range $21.00 - $25.53 hourly

 

Duties:

Performs a variety of strenuous manual and semi-skilled tasks in the general construction

and maintenance of city water, sewer, street, parks and solid waste facilities; operates automotive and heavy power equipment.  Does related work as required.

Parks and Recreation Public Comment and Prioritization Work Session

The Milton-Freewater City Council will host a public comment and prioritization work session regarding its Parks and Recreation Facilities at their next meeting on Monday, April 9, 2018 in the Albee Room at the Milton-Freewater Public Library located at 8 SW 8th Ave.  This will be in collaboration with a Parks and Recreation Local Option Tax Measure being put before the voters and will appear on the ballot May 15, 2018.  Click here for Press Release
