AQUATIC CENTER LIFEGUARD

The City of Milton-Freewater is currently accepting applications for the position of Lifeguard for the 2018 Summer Aquatic Center season. Lifeguard applicants must have current lifeguard certification, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid before employment begins. Applications are available at Milton-Freewater City Hall, 722 South Main and also on the City’s website, www.mfcity.com

Road Closure on South Main & SE 15th Ave

On Tuesday, March 27 at 7:30 am through most of the day. City Light &Power will have the intersection of S Main & SE 15th closed for service construction. 
Traffic will be routed around the construction area via SE 14th and S Mill. South Main will be closed from SE 14th to SE 16th and SE 15th will be closed at S Mill St.
Please plan your route accordingly.

For those who have Print Disabilities and those who may be unable to read a book due to visual impairment, inability to hold a book, or those who may have intellectual disability the State Library of Oregon runs a Talking Book and Braille Library service free of charge for all Print Disabled Oregonians. Audiobooks are mailed to you, or you may download them on your Smart Phone free of charge.

March 2018 Employee of the Month - Celso Flores

On behalf of the Mayor and Council, it is my pleasure to recognize CELSO FLORES as our March 2018 Employee of the Month.

Celso is new to our team, having started with us only 8 months ago! He is a member of our Parks Maintenance Crew where he comes to work every day with a smile on his face and an encouraging word on his lips!

Mock Active Shooter Drill

On Tuesday, March 13 Central Middle School, in collaboration with the Milton-Freewater Police Department will conduct a mock active shooter drill to allow the school to practice its procedures if such an event were to occur in real life.  There is no cause for alarm, as this is only a training exercise, but it will likely involve multiple police vehicles and officers at the school, and students will be seen exiting the school building in a pre-arranged manner.
