The Community Development Department helps identify and seek out opportunities for new businesses, and the growth or expansion of current businesses in the community. Members of the department may assist in securing funding, negotiating work contracts and developing long term plans for economic development in the community. To do this, we work closely with other governmental agencies, as well as community and business leaders.

- Build capacity that allows the community to share knowledge and resources effectively
- Attend meetings and presenting verbal and written reports
- Help identify funding possibilities
- Act as a facilitator to promote community improvement
The Community Development Department is headed by Chad Morris.
