Yantis Park Paths and Playground Upgrades
September 19, 2023
PRESS RELEASE
YANTIS PARK PATHS AND PLAYGROUND UPGRADES
The City of Milton-Freewater is in the process of upgrading Yantis Park with new playground equipment, repairing the walking paths and improving ADA access to the park. These upgrades are funded through the parks local option tax and a Oregon Parks and Recreation Department grant. The grant will cover about 60% of the project and the local option tax will cover about 40% of the grant.
Starting this week, City crews will start working on the walking path repairs and installing new ADA curb ramps. These upgrades will require sections of the walking paths and sidewalks to be closed while the improvements are completed. The repairs will take weeks to complete, however we do not have an exact schedule for closures. Thank you for understanding and cooperating with our work crews as they make our wonderful park even better!
