Chip seal street maintenance is planned to begin Tuesday, August 11, 2020
Work will take place as follows:
South Main Street beginning at the traffic signal light by Roff Real Estate and True Value north to Broadway Avenue; Broadway Avenue west to Sam’s Corner Market; north from Broadway Avenue at North Main Street to intersection of North Main and 8th Avenue near Freewater School; west on NW 8th Avenue to Lamb Street then north on Lamb Street to the City Limits.
This chip seal project has been contracted to be performed by Umatilla County Road Department. Work is weather dependent and is subject to change.
Funding is provided through State of Oregon House Bill 2017- Keep Oregon Moving.
The entire project is estimated to take approximately three (3) days. Please plan to use alternate routes when possible during this time. We also ask that you not blow any materials or lawn clippings into the street after such cleaning preparations have taken place.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and look forward to the finished result of a new chip seal street surface. Please don’t hesitate to contact the Public Works Department at 541-938-8270 or 8274 if you have any questions. We are here to serve!
