Green Power - Renewable Energy
Milton-Freewater City Light & Power now offers two ways for customers to purchase safe, clean renewable energy and to promote the growth of future renewable energy development.
We are proud to offer you the option of buying “Green Power” and supporting the development of renewable, non-polluting power in the Pacific Northwest. Our Green Power, also known as “Environmentally Preferred Power,” comes from the Bonneville Power Administration’s (BPA) wind projects located in Oregon and Washington. It’s less expensive than you might think - sign up today! Click here for more information.
We are also proud to partner with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). BEF is a non-profit organization dedicated to renewable energy development and watershed restoration. BEF sells renewable energy certificates called BEF Carbon Offsets. By purchasing BEF Carbon Offsets through BEF, you are generating additional funds for similar groundbreaking renewable energy projects. Please click on this link to learn more about purchasing Carbon Offsets from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation.
