Joe Humbert Family Aquatic Center is OPEN on a limited schedule 7/28/2020 update
7/28/2020
The Joe Humbert Family Aquatic Center in Milton Freewater will remain open, but with some restrictions to maximum capacity, use of the slides and deep end of the pool. Maximum capacity of the pool will be capped at 50 patrons, and the slides and deep end of the pool will be closed for now.
Hours of operation will remain the same, although we will be cleaning the pool more frequently during the day which will result in one or two brief 30 minute breaks during the day to allow staff to thoroughly clean and sanitize.
There will be no change to swim lessons, aerobics, lap swims or other programs offered this season.
Due to struggles with an aged pool (it is 24 years old) as well as the extra efforts with Covid-19 safety protocols to emphasize safety for our patrons, we have had to close intermittently the past week. We sincerely regret this inconvenience to our loyal patrons. As a result, we will be offering refunds for season passes purchased prior to July 28th. To take advantage of this offer, please contact our Finance Department at (541) 938-8201, or download the refund form click here for refund voucher. It should be noted that we are still selling season passes at a 50% discount for the 2020 season, however passes purchased on or after July 28th will be non-refundable.
We appreciate everyone’s patronage and patience in this challenging time.
Questions about this press release should be directed to Linda Hall, City Manager (541) 938-8242
