March Employee of the Month
The City of Milton-Freewater experienced a Winter to go down into the record books. At least we think it should. But City crews kept us safe as much as humanly possible.
Fire crews responded to over 20 calls due to severe weather and weather changes. Fire apparatus had to have tire chains installed and removed multiple times, sometimes more than once daily. The Fire Department had several that went above and beyond to ensure the City was safe.
They are:
Bob White Pat Didion Justin Riley Steve Story Graham Banks Manny Ramirez
Dave Hinton Chief Shane Garner
Our Electric Line crew did an outstanding job this Winter and really showed their stamina and endurance working in zero degree temperatures for long hours.
They are:
Bill Daugherty Richard Jolly Shannon Brownie Rich Gannon
Scott Graff Jeremy Badertscher Superintendent Rick Rambo
Tina Kain Dustin Earls
Police staff were out there in the worst of our Winter responding to 100's of accidents & fender-benders, doing traffic control and first response. They also are the first to determine adverse street conditions so Public Work crews can be notified.
They are:
Pat Garrett Joe Shurtz Morgan Dunlap Scott Clayton James Farr Scott Hays
Dan Lackey Jesse Myer Anthony Martinez-Flores Chief Doug Boedigheimer
Public Works staff were clearing the streets, sanding the sidewalks and chaining up trucks and police vehicles. Many started early in the morning so this could be accomplished before most scheduled for work. Thus making our entry to City buildings safe.
They are:
Mike Brannan Matt Chesnut Beau Chester Dave Loree
Nathan Lyon Levi Nored David Robertson Craig Rouse
Emilio Sandoval Tim Smock Troy Turner Dan Verkist
Shane Wright Bryon Carson Ben Silva Superintendent Dave Bradshaw
Brian Steadman
THANK YOU all for your exceptional service outside in our extreme Winter 2016-2017.
