Welcome to the City of Milton-Freewater’s Public Transportation website. As of January 1, 2024, we have sadly said goodbye to the Milton-Freewater bus, but not to worry, Kayak Public Transit has picked up the services!! If you have questions or want to know more about the route, contact KAYAK at 541-429-7519 or visit CTUIR.org.
The City of Milton-Freewater still offers our dial-a-ride taxi service for senior and disabled patrons residing in Milton-Freewater city limits. If you are interested in our program, please see the attached taxi brochure at the bottom of this page or contact City Hall at 541-938-5531 or the Milton-Freewater Planning Department at 541-938-8235. To schedule a ride please call GG Taxi at 509-386-1224.
The Milton-Freewater Senior and Disabled Public Taxi does NOT run on the following holidays –
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

KAYAK Public Transit
Operated by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, KAYAK provides transportation to La Grande, Hermiston, Irrigon, Weston, Athena, Milton-Freewater, Mission, and Pendleton, Oregon, as well as Walla Walla, Washington. For routes in our area, look for the "Walla Walla Whistler" route. www.ctuir.org
Grape Line
Provides transportation from Walla Walla to Pasco three times a day. www.grapeline.us
Ben Franklin Transit
Provides transportation in Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, West Richland, Prosser, Benton City, and Franklin and Benton counties. www.bft.org
